Being left-handed, I have always faced challenges in adapting to a world that was not designed for me - think scissors, computer mice and shutter buttons. These life experiences have shaped my approach to creating inclusive experiences that cater to all users, regardless of their background or abilities.
Drawing from my career in photojournalism, I bring a unique perspective to my design work. When taking on new projects, I employ a curious, empathetic approach with a people-centered focus. With years of experience in generating story concepts, pursuing leads, conducting interviews, and capturing images, I possess an in-depth understanding of what makes an idea worth pursuing.
Outside of my day-to-day work life, I am deeply committed to challenging societal norms and promoting gender equality. As the producer and host of the podcast "Not Your Little Lady," I highlight the stories of women and femme-identifying individuals who are pushing back against social norms in the American South.
When I’m not working or behind the mic, I love exploring new places and like to dip my toe into learning new languages. If I'm not looking for my next adventure, you'll find me cuddled up with my fluffy black cat named Wednesday and a big bowl of popcorn while I indulge in some bone-chilling horror films.
